As a mother to a heart kid, Corinne Turley is dedicated to HeartKids' mission of lifelong support for the 250,000 Australians with CoHD.
For over 40 years, HeartKids has been Australia's leading authority on childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD), which includes congenital heart disease (CHD) and conditions like acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD). With approximately 250,000 Australians affected by CoHD, including nearly 6,400 individuals with RHD in regional and remote areas, HeartKids plays a crucial role in supporting these communities.
Turley Property Advocates will donate a portion of each sale to HeartKids, supporting programs like Early Childhood Intervention and In-Community Support.
HeartKids provides lifelong support, resources, and advocacy to individuals and families impacted by childhood-onset heart disease. With a team of over 40 staff and volunteers—many with lived experience—HeartKids partners with more than 30 key organisations to deliver care and support in hospitals, clinics, and communities nationwide, striving to reach as many of those impacted as possible.
CoHD is a lifelong journey, and so is HeartKids’ support. HeartKids teams provide both emotional and practical care to families navigating hospitalisations and long-term needs. Services are tailored to key life milestones—from diagnosis through schooling, teenage years, and adulthood— ensuring parents, carers, extended family, and individuals with CoHD receive expert guidance at every stage.
HeartKids effectively bridges the gap between medical and community support through Community Support Coordinators. HeartKids’ collaboration with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and organisations, including Aboriginal-controlled groups, enables them to create tailored and culturally relevant care. By working closely with service recipients, HeartKids ensures that their support and resources meet the unique needs of families navigating CoHD.
